Route: The walk will start from Norbury Station, crossing Norbury Park and Green Lane before walking along Gibsons Hill to the entrance of Norwood grove to enter and climb the hill to the ‘White House’. After passing the ‘White House’ on our right hand side you will follow the track way (1/4 mile) to the side entrance of Streatham Rookery. After a tour of the Rookery gardens you will exit it by the main entrance where there is a cafe for refreshments if needed, which is situated at the top of Streatham Common.
Enjoy living history and a lovely walk.

We also welcome social members and hold quiz nights, bingo, beetle drives and BBQ’s. Our season starts in April with an open day on 29th starting at 2.30 pm. At the beginning of the twentieth century an eccentric artist arrived in Croydon and painted pictures of many buildings and locations.
This talk will examine a number of these paintings, some illustrating lost scenes, and show their remarkable context in the history of Croydon.
John Hickman will deliver part two of this talk at Shirley Library and part one will be delivered in March with Carole Roberts at Norbury Library.

A couple of clean ups are taking place on Sunday 12th May.
Firstly the Friends of Norbury Hall Park will be cleaning up our park. Meet by the large Craignish Avenue gate at 10.00 or find us in the park. Or for those more green-fingered types, you are welcome to join our gardening group in tidying up our lovely borders. (Just bring a pair of gardening gloves and a trowel).
Then at midday, SERA, Norbury Park Residents' Association and Manor Farm Nature Space are joining together to organise a clean up of the Norbury Crescent and Manor Farm Rd areas, including the Manor Farm nature space itself.

Our annual fireworks display and bonfire evening will be on Friday 8th November.
Tickets are on sale at the club from 2pm to 4pm each Saturday. Adult tickets are £5 in advance, or £6 on the evening. Children from 4 - 15 are £3 in advance or £4 on the evening. Under 4's are free.
The gates will open at 6:30pm and the display starts at 7:15pm. The bonfire will be lit after the fireworks are finished, and there will be plenty of food and drink on sale.
Don't delay, get your tickets soon as numbers are strictly limited this year.
