Love Norbury and Norbury Mums came together to present the Love Norbury Christmas Fayre on Sunday 27th November 2016 at Norbury Manor Primary School, with Father Christmas stealing the show.
There was no rest for the great man as children queued with their mums and dads to visit Father Christmas in his brightly-lit grotto, taking the opportunity to remind him of their good behaviour and pointing him in the right direction when it came to their Christmas lists! Father Christmas even had an early gift for each of the 80 children he saw throughout the day.
There were a number of activities to keep children occupied, including face painting, temporary tattoos, decorating gingerbread men and the hugely popular ‘Pass the Brussel Sprout’ – festive ‘Pass The Parcel’.
Adults entered into the festive spirit with mince pies and mulled wine. The event ran from 11am-4pm, with the venue packed all day, as locals browsed a number of gift stalls including cakes, jewellery, books, handmade wooden gifts and much, much more.
A good day was had by all, with many stall holders already expressing their interest in 2017’s event. The raffle attracted great interest with a host of fantastic prizes including vouchers for NV hair salon, a food hamper from Co-Op, jewellery and beauty products.
